Job Summary:
Join us at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Times Square, New York City, as an Assistant Merchandising Manager. This role is responsible for providing a memorable customer experience through visual merchandising in a high-energy retail environment. You will support the sales floor by updating, restocking, managing back stock, and maintaining visual displays and signage. Lead a team to bring the Hershey’s brand and products to life, promoting a fun and engaging experience for customers while maintaining brand standards.
Your responsibilities include leading daily merchandising activities, creating fun and attractive displays, motivating and training your team, and partnering with the General Manager on store-wide initiatives. You will also implement company initiatives, support daily business needs, and communicate effectively with the Hershey’s client services team.
This role aims to create a positive experience that reflects Hershey’s fun brand image through visual merchandising. You will be a role model in demonstrating the joy Hershey’s brings to customers.
Essential Functions:
- Hire, train, and manage employee performance
- Create team schedules for optimal store coverage
- Collaborate with HR on employee relations and terminations
- Recover and restock the store as needed
- Maintain store standards and execute floor sets
- Ensure proper signage for promotions and events
- Drive an exceptional customer experience
- Promote in-store products and services

- Cross-train employees and assistant managers
- Manage inventory levels and supplier contacts
- Attend training and management meetings
- Plan resets and communicate promotional calendars

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or related experience
- Minimum 3 years retail/food service merchandising experience
- 3-4 years management/supervisory experience
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and late-night resets
Additional Requirements:
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting up to 30 pounds, and moving around the store
