Description
Summary: The Herb Packer is responsible for cleaning, trimming, cutting, and packaging herbs at the packaging line. This role involves manual work, including using scissors to prepare herbs when necessary.
Essential Functions
- Identify herbs, determine sizes and weights for packaging
- Use company products efficiently to maximize yields while maintaining quality
- Meet hourly production quotas after training
- Communicate with the Line Coordinator to meet goals
- Work well with others and support diversity
- Follow food safety protocols and company policies
- Adhere to training guidelines and operating procedures
- Maintain an organized workspace
- Wear PPE as required
- Adapt to departmental changes and follow management instructions
- Report safety hazards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Education & Experience
- Basic math skills
- Good attendance
Preferred Education & Experience
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and quality procedures
- Understanding of management commitment and food safety policies
- Ability to report food safety issues
