Job summary

Michigan State University, Department of Family Medicine, seeks a Consortium Coordinator to oversee programmatic, operational, and research activities for the HERA Initiative, a RWJF-funded program implemented by MSU, MSM, and CDU. Based at MSU, this role advances funding design, distribution, dissemination, and evaluation with partners.

The incumbent will coordinate across centers, manage meetings, budgets, and reports, and draft materials while engaging community partners to operationalize

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, social science, health policy, communications, social work or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of program coordination, research administration, or related experience.
  • Experience working across institutions or with multi-partner initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Working across coordinating centers to assist in developing project plans.
  • Coordinating meetings, agendas, materials and follow-up across multiple groups.
  • Managing scheduling and opportunities for Deputy Director and Co-Directors.
  • Establishing and maintaining systems for project management and knowledge sharing across partners.
  • Tracking MSU project performance, milestones, risks, and deliverables.
  • Preparing regular status updates and reports and maintaining program documentations and records within MSU.
  • Planning and delivery of large-scale, in-person convenings for HERA grantees and project partners.
  • Supporting budget tracking, reporting, and compliance for MSU in alignment with RWJF requirements.
  • Ensuring community partners are paid and reviewer stipends are processed.
  • Drafting and editing a range of materials, including reports, briefs, presentations, newsletters, and website content.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of funding opportunities for HERA, including application systems and review processes.
  • Coordinating with all members of the MSU team and community partners on meeting important milestones and deadlines.
