HER – Materials Handler Supervisor (Warehouse Worker Foreman)

The role functions as a Warehouse Worker Foreman, responsible for overseeing work on a rotational basis in the warehouse, commissary, and clothing issue/laundry operations at a Federal Bureau of Prisons facility.

Supervises inmate workers responsible for receiving, storing, shipping, and issuing a variety of supplies, materials, equipment, and commodities necessary for the facility's operations, including inmate clothing and laundry services for inmates and institutional departments such as Health Services and Food Service.

Ensures inventory control of materials for the institution, including receipt, cataloging, stocking, and issuing of all incoming materials from external sources.

Maintains accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory documentation using manual procedures and automated data processing systems to ensure perpetual inventory accountability for all items under control.

Responsible for maintaining inventory documentation and systems to uphold perpetual inventory accountability.

All correctional institution employees, including the incumbent, are responsible for maintaining the security of the institution. Security responsibilities take precedence over other duties and are performed regularly and consistently.
