Position: Hepatologist | Department of Internal Medicine | M67363 & M67364

Seeking Hepatologists to join our growing team.

Mission of the Unit: To provide superior, compassionate, and innovative clinical care to our patients using state-of-the-art knowledge and resources, and to conduct and disseminate clinical research and scholarship, focusing on patient care and education of future clinicians.

Chief Purpose of this position: The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition seeks a full-time Hepatologist, board eligible/certified in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, to provide clinical services in the Hepatology clinics at VCU Health System, including clinics on the Medical College of Virginia Hospital campus and outreach locations.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Clinical: Provide services in hepatology clinics, participate in inpatient management of liver conditions, perform diagnostic endoscopic procedures.
2. Teaching: Educate medical students, residents, and fellows in managing liver conditions.
3. Research: Engage in research and develop interdisciplinary collaborations supporting the core mission.

Required Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Eligible in Hepatology
• Experience in Hepatology research
• Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure
