Job description

We are seeking a Transplant Hepatologist to join our team in Shreveport, Louisiana

The only transplant center in north Louisiana, where more than 2,100 organ transplantations have been performed since the program's inception. The center performs kidney, kidney/pancreas, pancreas, liver, and living kidney transplants. Our team consists of 4 surgeons with over 100 years of combined experience, one transplant nephrologist, and one transplant hepatologist.

Qualifications

Candidates must be board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, and transplant hepatology, and be eligible to practice in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care at a high level of skill
• Manage liver transplant recipients
• Evaluate and manage referrals
• Partner with the kidney transplant team for multi-organ transplants
• Evaluate patients with liver disorders, including primary liver disease, primary liver cancer, end-stage liver disease, and transplant candidates
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons and hepatologists to select and manage patients before, during, and after liver transplantation
