Job summary

GSK is seeking a Medical Director, Clinical Development, Hepatology to provide clinical and scientific leadership for liver disease assets. You will work within project teams to plan, execute, and deliver development activities up to registrational studies, reporting to the Clinical Development Lead.

The role supports regulatory compliance, safety oversight, and operational efficiency within RIIRU. The position is hybrid, with on-site requirements two days per week and remote work on other days,

Qualifications

• Completion of a medical degree and clinical residency with board qualification or certification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry with clinical drug development.
• Knowledge of ICH guidelines, FDA requirements, and global regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical development plans for hepatology assets across late-stage development.
• Oversee regulatory interactions and documents including briefing documents and responses.
• Provide medical monitoring and governance for safety during studies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver CDP and IES.
• Contribute to global regulatory submissions (IND, NDA, BLA, MAA).

Education

Medical degree

Board certification/registration in Internal Medicine or Primary Care / Family Medicine

Completion of a full clinical residency program leading to board qualification or certification
