Overview

Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington is recruiting a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to join our Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery team.

Responsibilities

The APP will manage preoperative and postoperative HPB surgery patients, perform clinical procedures, develop care pathways, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes. This role is primarily clinic-based, with opportunities for inpatient care on surgical wards.

Position Highlights
  • Clinic-focused role with potential inpatient care.
  • Manage a panel of non-surgical, preoperative, and postoperative patients.
  • Perform office-based procedures.
  • Work with a specialized team of surgeons and nurses.
  • Involvement in medical education and mentoring.

Qualifications
For Nurse Practitioners (ARNP):
  • Washington State RN and ARNP licenses.
  • DEA and NPI numbers, prescriptive authority.
  • Experience in surgical patient management preferred.
For Physician Assistants (PA-C):
  • Certification as a PA-C with prescriptive authority in Washington.
  • Experience in surgical oncology or HPB surgery preferred.
