Job summary

Texas Diabetes Institute is currently seeking a Hemodialysis Tech II to join our team. The role coordinates with the Clinic Manager and Department Nurse Educator to train new hires and existing staff, ensuring delivery of dialysis care aligned with UH policies and ESRD treatment principles.

The ideal candidate will be a PCT with ≥1 year of recent dialysis experience, hold a CCHT certification, and maintain current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PCT with ≥1 year dialysis experience in last 24 months.
• CCHT certification required; BLS/Healthcare Provider CPR current.
• Commitment to patient care and safety in dialysis settings.

Responsibilities

Position Summary / Responsibilities

The Hemodialysis Tech II position will coordinate with the Clinic Manager and Department Nurse Educator in the training process for all newly hired and existing staff members. The Hemodialysis Tech II is responsible for initiating all clinical floor training that teaches and integrates UH policies, procedures and dialysis theory for the treatment of ESRD (End-Stage Renal Disease) patients for all dialysis clinical floor positions.

Education / Experience

• A high school diploma/GED or higher is required
• Must be a PCT with at least a year of experience in hemodialysis within the last 24 months
• CCHT certification is required
• Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card
