NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk is seeking a Department Secretary for the Hemodialysis Main Street location. The full-time day shift supports the department under supervision, handling data entry, Kronos scheduling, and payroll coordination.

The role requires strong organization, computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills to assist nurse managers and staff, while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards across the unit.

Qualifications

• To qualify you must have a ability to read & write at level normally acquired through completion of high school.
• Organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office/Word, Kronos, email, and data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills for hospital staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide secretarial support for the Hemodialysis department including data preparation, input and records.
• Enter and update staff schedules in Kronos; assist payroll with biweekly processing.
• Answer and direct telephone calls, take accurate messages, and relay information to management.
• Prepare meeting minutes, distribute documents, and coordinate department meetings and communications.
