Job summary

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Albany Medical College in Albany, NY is seeking a seventh AP/CP board-certified, Hematopathology fellowship-trained pathologist to join our expanding Division of Hematopathology. The role includes hematopathology sign-out, shared call, and potential second area of interest.

Academic activities include 1-on-1 and group sign-out with fellows and residents, didactic lectures, and translational research opportunities.

Qualifications

• AP/CP board-certified hematopathologist with hematopathology fellowship training.
• Board certification details and fellowship training supported by the department.

Responsibilities

• Hematopathology sign-out (bone marrow, tissue, blood/CSF on a rotating basis).
• Shared Hematopathology call.
• Developing a second area of interest if desired.
• 1-on-1 and group sign-out with fellows, residents, and students.
• Didactic lectures, unknown slide conference, and supervision of presentations.
• Participation in translational research opportunities.
