Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Hematopathologist to join our team. You will perform diagnostic evaluation of Hematopathology consultations, Flow Cytometry, and Bone Marrow Morphology, while ensuring accuracy, turnaround times, and adherence to GLP and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate holds a medical degree, Arizona license, Board Certification in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, subspecialty in Hematopathology, and experience in high-volume settings with IHC, FISH, cytogenetics, and

Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited college/university.
• Arizona Licensed Physician.
• Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Subspecialty Board Certification in Hematopathology.
• Experience in a high-volume hospital and/or large referral laboratory preferred.
• Strong experience interpreting Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow Morphology, and lymphoid tissue specimens.
• Experience with Hematopathology consultations, including IHC, FISH, Cytogenetics, and Molecular Diagnostics.
• Organized and efficient problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Individual diagnostic evaluation of Hematopathology consultation specimens, Flow Cytometry specimens, and Bone Marrow Morphology specimens
• Accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
• Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
• Provide expert consultation and discussions with referring Oncologists and Pathologists as needed, in person, by phone, or electronically
• Provide assistance to the Medical Director and Director of Hematopathology with administrative tasks as needed
• Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies

Labcorp is seeking a Hematopathologist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Work Schedule

Generally (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm); possibility of rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities

• Individual diagnostic evaluation of Hematopathology consultation specimens, Flow Cytometry specimens, and Bone Marrow Morphology specimens
• Accurate and timely evaluation of specimens tested
• Assure compliance with quality, regulatory, and safety guidelines/standards
• Provide expert consultation and discussions with referring Oncologists and Pathologists as needed, in person, by phone, or electronically
• Provide assistance to the Medical Director and Director of Hematopathology with administrative tasks as needed
• Assures good laboratory practice (GLP) and compliance with applicable accrediting and regulatory agencies

Minimum Qualifications

• Medical Degree from an accredited college/university
• Arizona Licensed Physician
• Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Subspecialty Board Certification in Hematopathology

Additional Job Standards

• Experience in a high-volume hospital and/or large referral laboratory environment preferred
• Strong experience interpreting Flow Cytometry, Bone Marrow Morphology, and lymphoid tissue specimens
• Experience with Hematopathology consultations, including the use of ancillary testing such as Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH), Cytogenetics, and Molecular Diagnostics
• Organized and efficient problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
