Job description

Job Opportunity: Hematologist

We are seeking a board-certified Hematologist with interest and experience in classical and malignant hematology. The role involves:

1. Evaluation and management of patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
2. Consultations to medical and surgical services

Outpatient care is supported by three dedicated advanced practitioners, and inpatient care is supervised by hematologists, residents, and hospitalists. The ideal candidate must have experience in autologous transplantation and be eligible to participate in a FACT-accredited autologous stem cell transplant program.

The hematology team is supported by:

• Hematology nurse navigation
• Transplant coordinator
• Administrative staff

Collaborative care involves:

• Transfusion Medicine Service, including pheresis services
• Hematopathologists
• Radiation Oncology
• Real-time flow cytometry performed on-site

Additional supportive care services include:

• Palliative Care Service
• Behavioral Oncology
• Survivorship Program
• Social workers
• Acupuncturist

We are a full member of SWOG and NRG, with active clinical trial participation encouraged. As a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, academic appointments are available based on expertise and interest.
