Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Burien, WA seeks a board-certified Hematology/Oncology physician to join our established practice on the St. Anne Hospital campus.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care across outpatient infusion and oncology services. You will evaluate new patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and coordinate care with specialists, families, and community resources.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Oncology.
• Active Washington State Medical License or eligible for licensure.
• Strong clinical skills serving hematology and oncology patients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide ongoing management and follow-up care for patients with hematology and oncology diseases.
• Offer guidance and support to patients and families regarding educational resources and community services.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to care.
• Stay current with research and best practices in hematology and oncology to provide evidence-based care.
• Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote awareness of cancer care and blood disorder issues.
