Job summary

Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph, MI, seeks a hematology/medical oncology physician to join a busy practice within Lakeland Cancer Specialists. The role is ~95% outpatient with 5% inpatient care, and includes call duties 1:4 weekends.

Teaching opportunities for medical students and residents are available, with affiliation to Corewell Health South. Eligible or board-certified candidates should have Michigan MD/DO licensure and BLS.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in hematology/medical oncology.
• Michigan MD/DO license required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, follow-ups, treatment assessments, and bone marrow biopsies.
• Provide predominantly outpatient care with some inpatient work (≈95%/5%).
• Participate in oncology committees and work to grow referrals and patient satisfaction.
• Teach medical students and residents during rotations.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver high-quality oncology care.
