Regional Medical Director of Oncology opening in Pennsylvania

Located in DuBois, PA, just 100 miles from Pittsburgh, this full-time employed position offers the opportunity to lead an innovative healthcare system specializing in hematology and oncology care. The system provides comprehensive services including a breast service line, GI lab, interventional radiology, PET/CT, cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, and is a Center of Excellence with the Lung Cancer Alliance and UPMC Center of Excellence of Lung Cancer Screening.

Clinical Details:

1. Collaborative team comprising 4 hematology-oncology physicians and 7 advanced practice providers delivering multidisciplinary care.
2. Services include immunotherapy, management of solid tumors, chemotherapy, and blood cancers.
3. Support staff includes onsite RN supervisor and oncology-certified or eligible RNs.
4. Shared call coverage with physician group.

Administrative Details:

1. Previous Medical Director experience required (5-10 years preferred).
2. Workload split approximately 70% clinical and 30% administrative.
3. Board-certified in hematology/oncology.
4. The Medical Director is expected to be on-site at all locations at least monthly; all sites are within a 30-minute drive.
5. Base location in DuBois with satellite offices in Brookville, Clearfield, Punxsutawney, Clarion, and St. Marys.
6. Oversee system-wide oncology services.
7. Must possess outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills to coordinate with departments, physicians, and staff across the hospital system.
