A leading healthcare facility in Oklahoma is seeking a dedicated Oncology and Hematology provider for locum tenens coverage from July to October 2025. The role involves patient examination, treatment administration, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced cancer treatment technologies and a supportive care environment.
The coverage will be required from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, the provider will be expected to take call coverage 2-3 days each week and participate in a weekend call rotation occurring once every ten weeks.
Ideally, we would like a single physician to manage this coverage period to ensure continuity of care and familiarity with our patient needs. The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
The facility offers the latest advancements in cancer treatment, including access to current drugs and therapies, clinical trials, and cutting-edge diagnostic technologies. It features a cancer resource center and an URAC-accredited on-site specialty pharmacy, providing comprehensive services in one location.
Additional support services include psycho-social support, survivorship care, genetic testing, early detection, genetic counseling, education, nurse navigators, and more to guide patients through diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. The multidisciplinary team approach includes radiation oncology, surgical oncology, breast oncology, gynecologic oncology, colorectal surgery, and others.
Oncology infusion services are located within the same facility, just steps from the clinic spaces. Oncology nurses are specially trained and licensed in oncology care.
