Job description

Hematology & Oncology - Hospital is in search of a Locums to support the employed physicians with additional support and to provide additional services.


We are looking for a provider to start in September/October with continued support into 2026. We are seeking someone who can provide at least one week per month and would accept more if available.


Shifts available: Orientation, 8-Hr Day Shift

Setting: Clinic Patient care with no call.

Schedule: Would consider Locums for 3-5 shifts per week, every other week.

Privileges: Full Privileges

All compliance and privileging will be due to Baptist 30 days prior to a start date to be approved by the Board.


Credentials Accepted: Physician (MD/DO)

Board level: BC Hematology

Hematology Fellowship: Required or equivalent experience preferred

Additional Certifications: BLS, ACLS, DEA Certificate

Workload: Primarily Hematology Patients

Skills/Procedures: Hematology and blood disorders

Other Role Notes: Provider would not take oncology patients unless an urgent matter and would not change or administer oncology care or prescriptions.

  • The locums will see hematology patients with only a small possibility of seeing oncology patients, as existing oncology providers will continue to provide care directly.
  • Hematology board certification required; a hematology fellowship is highly preferred.
  • Double board with oncology is preferred but not required.

Adult/Peds: 18+

Outpatient volume: 15-20 patients

Support staff: Each MD has 1 FTE Clinic RN
