The University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation are seeking an experienced BC/BE medical oncologist with specialization in genitourinary oncology for a growing practice. This position will be at the rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Full Professor, with options for tenure or a clinical track (non-tenure), depending on qualifications.
The Carver College of Medicine is part of a major research university, ranking 19th among public universities in NIH research funding. The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center that collaborates closely with the College and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. The program boasts a growing portfolio of investigator-initiated and phase I trials, many based on research conducted in University of Iowa laboratories. The hospital is one of the largest university-owned teaching hospitals in the United States and is adjacent to the Iowa City Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
The Division of Hematology-Oncology and Blood & Marrow Transplantation has a broad mission, encompassing benign and malignant hematology and solid tumor oncology. Division faculty lead over 200 active clinical research trials at any given time across a wide range of cancers and blood disorders, and operate Iowa's only FACT-accredited bone marrow transplant unit. The division provides services at University of Iowa Health Care, the Iowa City VA Medical Center, and several regional outreach sites in southeast Iowa.
