An established industry player is seeking a dedicated MD/DO specializing in Hematology/Oncology to join their supportive clinic in Cumberland, MD. This role offers a flexible work schedule with approximately 5 shifts per month, focusing on patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and be comfortable working independently while being supported by a strong nursing and administrative team. 3 years of experience, no brand new grads
Other additional pertinent information:
AVG Inpatient per day: 2-3 AVG Admissions per day: 1 AVG Consults per day: 2 AVG Outpatient per day: 16-18 APP/Midlevel Coverage Available 8a - 4:30p Inpatient consults are seen during the day to allow inpatient rounding or to finish documentation. Our physicians attempt to see inpatients during the blocks but when they have a full schedule, they see the inpatients at the end of the day. Meditech is used for inpatient and outpatient
Provider will work independently. Most of the time is spent in the clinic seeing on treatment patients, new consults and long term follow ups. Additionally 2-3 inpatient visits a day. There are two other physicians and an APP who work in the same clinic but they will have their own patient schedules. The physician will have a dedicated exam nurse most of the day. Clinic is well supported by nursing and administrative staff. No admissions but expected to be available after hours for any clinical care questions for admitted patients or emergencies. Very low call volume.
