Job description

Location: A coastal city located in the southwestern part of Oregon. Known for its picturesque waterfront, maritime history, and outdoor recreational opportunities. Approximately 100 miles to Eugene!

Facility: Outpatient cancer center - State-of-the-Art Facility: The center features cutting-edge facilities and equipment, providing the necessary tools to deliver exceptional care.

Opportunity:

  1. Seeking a full-time or part-time Medical Oncologist and/or Hematologist to join our renowned cancer center, serving as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon.
  2. Accepting part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
  3. BE (within 2 years)/BC in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
  4. Experience practicing Radiation Oncology with a strong record (or an excellent recent graduate) is preferred.
  5. Demographics for this area are roughly 20% Hematology, 80% Oncology.
  6. Average number of patients per day in the clinic/office: 10-15.
  7. No inpatient consults; only outpatient clinic visits and collaboration with infusion services.
  8. Features include a new 19-chair infusion room, onsite mixing pharmacy, nurse navigation, and onsite radiation oncology.
  9. Work schedule: 8-hour days, with a 1:4 call schedule primarily for critical lab calls.
  10. Services offered include cardiology, radiology, oncology, emergency care, surgical care (including bariatrics and robotics), critical care, inpatient psychiatry, wound care with hyperbaric medicine, primary care, pediatrics, OB, and home health.
  11. Participation in leading-edge clinical trials.
  12. Affiliated with Oregon Health & Science University and a member of the OHSU Knight Cancer Network.
