Job description

The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, part of the Jefferson Health network, is currently seeking a BC/BE community physician with an interest in benign and malignant hematology. This individual will join our community hematology/oncology division at Jefferson Abington Hospital located in Abington, PA.

The Department of Medical Oncology at Thomas Jefferson University and the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center welcomes applications from BE/BC medical oncologists and hematologists interested in providing clinical care in benign and malignant hematology. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong clinical inpatient and outpatient care skills; the desire to practice in a community clinical environment; the ability to engage learners; participate in cancer clinical trial enrollment; and a commitment to patient care.

This position will have clinical responsibilities at Jefferson Abington Hospital in Abington, PA, and the Asplundh Cancer Pavilion in Willow Grove, PA, and will serve as a faculty member in the division of hematology/oncology at Jefferson Abington Hospital.

Jefferson Abington Hospital and the Asplundh Cancer Center are part of the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Cancer Center and a leader in cancer treatment and research. Patients and physicians benefit from the collaborative efforts of surgical physician experts, medical and radiation oncologists, diagnostic radiologists, and pathologists to precisely treat and manage cancer.
