Job summary

St. Cloud VA Health Care System is seeking a Physician Assistant - Hematology/Oncology to serve Veterans at our Community Based Outpatient Clinic locations in Brainerd, Alexandria, and Montevideo.

The position is full-time and based out of the Alexandria, MN location, with up to 75% travel between clinics. The PA will manage chronic disease, provide education, collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, and work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents medical history, diagnosis, and plan of care.
• Initiates, orders, and evaluates plans of care for a panel of outpatient clients.
• Provides follow-up exams for medication management and monitoring.
• Educates patients and families regarding disease processes, risk factors, symptoms and treatments.
