Job description

Sanford Health is seeking a BE/BC Adult Medical Oncologist, Radiation Oncologist and a BMT fellowship-trained Adult Hematologist-Oncologistto practice at Sanford's prestigious Roger Maris Cancer Center.

  • Join a team of 12 Medical Oncologists/ Hematologists, 4 Pediatric Oncologists/ Hematologists, and 5 Radiation Oncologists Supported by 9 medical oncology and hematology APPs and 24 nurse navigators covering all tumor types Hematology/Oncology Fellowship started in 2022
  • Comprehensive Cellular Therapy Program including Autologous transplant, Allogenic transplant and CAR-T services Familial cancer and survivorship programs, risk assessment and supportive care clinics Affiliation with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine allows for teaching medical students; residents from our family medicine, internal medicine, transitional year, podiatry, orthopedic and general surgery programs; and our hematology/medical oncology fellows.

Medical Oncology:

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Medical Oncology

• Focused interests in breast, head/neck, thoracic, gastrointestinal, or genitourinary malignancies welcome

Hematology:

  • BC in Hematology or Oncology with BMT fellowship training and a minimum of 1 year supervised transplant training in both auto and allo transplant OR
  • BC in Hematology with malignant hematology focus and desire to support a hematology service

Radiation Oncology:

• Well-established, collegial practice of 4 physicians supported by 2 APPs, 14 RTTs, 4 Dosimetrists, 4 medical physicists, and 10 RN’s.

• State-of-the-art equipment including 3 Varian linacs (2 matched Truebeams with Vision RT and a TrueBeam Edge with Brainlab ExacTrac Dynamic), 2 Siemens CT scanners (one in a dedicated brachytherapy suite), Varian Bravos HDR, Superficial X-ray unit, Aria/Eclipse, Brainlab Elements, and Velocity

• Designated NCORP community site

• Participate in several disease specific multidisciplinary clinics

• EBRT and HDR treatment modalities

• Team approach to care planning with excellent relationships across all specialties including Medical & Pediatric Oncology, Oncologic Otolaryngologists, Breast Surgeon, Breast Radiologists, Thoracic Surgeon, Neurosurgeons, and Urologists

• National and local research protocols

• Average of 65 patients per day; 850 new patients per year

• Call will be 1:5 over the weekends once the fifth provider is hired
