Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage in Lafayette, LA. The role features a Monday–Friday schedule, outpatient setting, and a full patient panel with care coordination.

The ideal candidate will hold Louisiana licensure or IMLC, be Board Certified, and have BLS credentials. Epic is used for charting, and a 120-day credentialing window is typical for contract staffing arrangements.

Qualifications

• Board certification in hematology/oncology or eligible.
• Louisiana license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide hematology/oncology outpatient care and follow-ups.
• Manage a full patient panel with care coordination.
• Triage and treatment visits including some new patients.

This facility is seeking a Hematology Oncology Nurse Practitioner for locum tenens support as they look to fill a current need.

Details and requirements for this opportunity:

Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Practice Setting: Outpatient

Types of Cases: Hematology/Oncology; complex oncology patients, treatment visits, follow-ups, and some new patient appointments. Full patient panel with significant care coordination.

Credentialing Timeframe: 120 days

Electronic Medical Record: Epic

Certifications Required: Basic Life Support, Board Certified

Licensure Required: Louisiana license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact license
