Job summary

Palo Verde Cancer Specialists is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our hematology/oncology team in the West Valley. This full-time APP role supports medical oncologists with patient evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination of care.

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing or PA, Arizona license, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Master's degree in Nursing or an equivalent Physician Assistant degree.
• Current, unrestricted Arizona NP or PA license.
• Current DEA registration, as applicable.
• Hematology/oncology experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations including histories and physicals.
• Order, review, and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
• Develop and implement individualized hematology/oncology treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Coordinate care with supervising physicians and clinical team.
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other professionals.
