Job summary

Palo Verde Cancer Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to deliver high-quality, patient-centered hematology/oncology care. The role includes in-clinic and hospital rounding, comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing care management.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, maintain licensure, and participate in professional development while advocating for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent PA program degree
• Current valid state medical license
• DEA license/registration
• Hematology/Oncology experience is a plus but not required
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work with others and demonstrate leadership qualities

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments (physical, psychosocial)
• Diagnose and manage hematology/oncology conditions
• Develop individualized care plans with physicians
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; communicate results
• Prescribe and manage medications in compliance with regulations
• Provide advanced patient care management for assigned caseload
• Conduct procedures within scope of practice
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed
• Educate patients on medications and treatments
• Ensure timely follow-up on results and communications
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied staff
• Provide supervision to support staff as needed
• Engage in interdisciplinary care planning and coordination
• Promote teamwork across the practice
• Maintain infection control and safety standards
• Engage in continuous quality improvement
