Job summary

Locums Choice is seeking a Board Certified or eligible Hematology/Oncology physician for a full-time locum position at a 200+-bed Georgia facility. Schedule is Mon-Thu 8-5, Fri 8-12 with weekly on-call via phone; 1 in 4 weekends primary, 1 in 4 weekends secondary. EPIC EMR used; travel and licensing support provided; malpractice coverage included.

Expected patient flow includes new consultations (about 1 hour) and follow-ups (~30 minutes). Potential for additional follow-ups later in the year.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Hematology/Oncology or eligibility.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Full-time locum availability with weekend call.

Responsibilities

• See new patients with approximately 1 hour per new patient visit.
• Follow-up visits around 30 minutes.
• On-call duties: call every weeknight by phone.
• See roughly 8 patients per day; weekends 1 in 4 primary on-call.

Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology/Oncology

200+ bed facility

Position Type Full-Time locums

Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8-5 and Friday 8-12

Call: call each weeknight but just phone consults

1 in 4 weekends of primary call (stay in town)

1 in 4 weekends of secondary call (can leave town, as APPs are on first call)

2 medical oncologists, 3 Radiation oncologists, 1 Radiologist, and 4 Nurse practitioners

Comprehensive labs with same day turnaround

Roughly 1 hour for new patients

30 mins for follow ups

Locums will see new patients and maybe 8 per day.

Maybe more later in the year if they are doing more follow ups.
