University of Hawai'i at Manoa - John A. Burns School of Medicine seeks an Assistant/Associate Professor, Hematology/Oncology Selective Coordinator. The role oversees the hematology/oncology elective for UH internal medicine residents, collaborates on curriculum development, and coordinates resident schedules and evaluations.

Teaching medical students and residents is a core duty. The position is part-time at up to 0.10 FTE, with 11-month contract terms and annual renewal based on performance

Qualifications

• MD degree or equivalent medical degree from an accredited medical school.
• Maintaining board certification in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Valid Hawaii Medical license by the date of hire.
• Demonstrated ability in teaching and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the quality of the hematology/oncology elective that UH internal medicine residents are required to complete.
• Assist in curriculum development and evaluation in medical undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, and continuing education.
• Coordinate the schedules of residents (inpatient/outpatient).
• Coordinate and submit the evaluation of the resident at the completion of the rotation.
• Teach medical students, graduate students, post-graduate residents and faculty.
