Job summary

The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks an Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine (Heme/Onc BMT) to provide evidence-based care for patients with hematologic malignancies, including leukemia, and to participate in education, research, and clinical service across our Hematology division. The role includes patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings and collaboration with KU Health System.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent required to practice medicine.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine is required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and/or Oncology is required.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in Kansas and Missouri.
• Resume/CV and Cover Letter must be submitted with application.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based clinical care for patients with leukemia and other hematologic malignancies in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Evaluate and manage patients with acute leukemia, myelodysplastic syndromes, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and clonal hematopoiesis.
• Participate in the divisional on-call schedule and multidisciplinary patient care.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical rotations, rounds, conferences, and case-based learning.
• Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives in hematologic malignancies.
• Participate in divisional and departmental meetings, conferences, and other academic activities.

Education

MD/DO or equivalent
