Position Overview

Mount Sinai Medical Center’s Award-Winning Cancer Center is seeking a board eligible/board certified Hematologist Oncologist to join our distinguished team.

We provide state-of-the-art treatment for patients with cancer, incorporating the latest research and treatment options to deliver individualized care.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and potential side effects.
  • Lead a cancer treatment team of healthcare professionals.
  • Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe therapies such as chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
  • Respond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics.
  • Participate actively in the Department of Medicine and Division of Medical Oncology meetings, tumor board, and Grand Rounds during administrative time.
  • Perform procedures like bone marrow biopsies as needed.
  • Design and participate in clinical trial research, enrolling patients into studies.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary system-specific conferences.
  • Monitor ongoing treatments and collaborate weekly with a multidisciplinary team. Patients have access to leading cancer trials for advanced treatments.
Qualifications
  • Commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care.
  • BE/BC with excellent clinical training.
  • Experience in general oncology, including hematology and solid tumors.
  • Training in benign hematology is preferred.
  • Adaptable team player interested in practice growth and community involvement.
  • Strong interest in clinical research and medical education encouraged.
