Mount Sinai Medical Center's Award-Winning Cancer Center is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Hematologist-Oncologist to join our distinguished team.
We provide state-of-the-art treatment for patients with cancer, incorporating the latest research and treatment options to deliver individualized care.
Responsibilities include:
- Working closely with patients and their families to explain diagnoses, treatment options, and potential side effects.
- Leading a cancer treatment team of healthcare professionals.
- Coordinating treatment plans and prescribing therapies such as chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
- Responding to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics.
- Participating actively in the Department of Medicine and Division of Medical Oncology through meetings, tumor boards, and grand rounds.
- Performing procedures like bone marrow biopsies as needed.
- Designing and participating in clinical trial research, enrolling patients into studies.
- Engaging in multidisciplinary conferences.
- Monitoring ongoing treatments and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to review cases. Our patients benefit from access to leading cancer trials, including promising treatments before FDA approval.
Qualifications
- A commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care.
- BE / BC with excellent clinical training.
- Experience in general oncology, including hematology and solid tumors.
- Training in benign hematology is preferred.
- An adaptable colleague interested in building practice and engaging with the community.
- Strong interest in clinical research and medical education is encouraged.
