Our client is seeking a Hematology Oncologist to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients while working both independently and collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team. This position requires strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Examine and diagnose patients, order appropriate diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications.
  2. Work closely with patients and their families to help them understand their cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment.
  3. Lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals.
  4. Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy.
  5. Respond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics.
  6. Actively participate in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology by attending Divisional meetings, tumor board, and Department of Medicine Grand Rounds during your administrative time.
  7. Perform bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as needed.

  1. BC/BE in Hematology Oncology.
  2. Current Florida State Medical license or willing to obtain.
