Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking an advanced practice provider to lead comprehensive care for adults with sickle cell disease in a fast-paced clinical environment. The role blends hematology expertise with primary and acute care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in sickle cell care, a strong commitment to reducing health disparities, and the preferred Family NP, Adult Primary NP, or Adult Acute Care NP certification (or PA-C).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with Family NP, Adult Primary NP, or Adult Acute Care NP certification or PA program required.
• Licensed APN with CRNP specialty or PA-C with board certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care within licensed scope of practice under physician supervision.
• Coordinate plan of care, discharge planning and referrals as age-appropriate.
• Document assessments, plans and care accurately and completely.
• Care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, focusing on sickle cell disease.
