Qualifikationen

• Nurse Practitioners: completion of an accredited NP program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistants: completion of an accredited PA program; Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• BLS certification is required.
• NPs: current/compact RN licensure and NP approval to practice in NC; BLS; NP national certification required.
• PAs: NC licensure; NCCPA certification; BLS required.
• DEA licensure with full prescriptive authority.

Aufgaben

• In collaboration with attending physicians, the NP/PA performs triage, physical exam, collects and documents data, orders labs and consultations, prescribes interventions and medications, and coordinates care.
• Analyze clinical practice patterns to improve care effectiveness and efficiency.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to supervising physicians, nurses, and care teams.
• Document results and patient status in the EMR, including test results and responses to therapies.
• Provide inpatient consultation and follow-up; present patients to attending; assist Telehealth as needed.
