Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Malignant Hematology & Cellular Immunotherapy team at Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, FL. You will provide specialized care for patients undergoing cellular therapy and collaborate closely with physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other specialists to manage complex regimens and complications.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree at minimum; master's degree preferred.
Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
Active FL medical license (or ability to obtain one) and national certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
Active BLS and ACLS (AHA approved).
Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; previous Malignant Hematology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct medical care to Malignant Hematology and Cellular Therapy patients.
Manage medically complex patients with co-morbidities.
Assist physicians with evaluation, management, and treatment planning.
Formulate differential diagnoses based on clinical data.
Develop treatment plans within scope of practice.
Prescribe oral and IV medications as appropriate.
Perform minor procedures within scope of practice.
Coordinate care across a multidisciplinary team.
Document patient care in accordance with medical staff rules.
