Position Overview

The Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System (OCVAHCS) is seeking a board-certified, full-time physician to join our Hematology & Oncology department at the Oklahoma City VA Medical Center. The role involves clinical practice, teaching, and research, with opportunities for academic appointment at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The focus areas include solid tumors such as GI, sarcoma, melanoma, and hematology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care, including outpatient and inpatient services
  • Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and students
  • Participate in clinical research, including serving as principal investigator for trials
  • Contribute to program development and administrative oversight
  • Attend staff meetings and contribute to quality and safety initiatives
Qualifications
  • Full, unrestricted medical license in the U.S.
  • Board certification in Hematology & Oncology (preferred) or eligibility
  • Additional certification in Internal Medicine is desirable
  • Eligible for appointment at the VA and academic appointment at the University of Oklahoma
Work Schedule and Compensation

Full-time, Monday-Friday 08:00-4:30. Starting salary ranges from $350,000 to $400,000 per year, with incentives, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits including retirement, health insurance, and paid time off.
