The New Mexico VA Health Care System and the University of New Mexico (UNM) Cancer Center are seeking applications for a staff physician position within an expanding Hematology/Oncology Section at NMVAHCS. This program is the major academic affiliate of UNM's Division of Hematology/Oncology and the UNM Cancer Center, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
This role involves collaboration with UNM's Divisional and Cancer Center Leadership and includes a significant teaching component within the Division, including its fellowship program. Applicants should have an MD, current medical license, and be board-certified or eligible in Hematology and/or Oncology. A potential academic appointment at UNM at the level of associate or full professor is preferred, based on academic and clinical experience. Candidates must be eligible for a faculty appointment in the Department of Internal Medicine at UNM.
