Overview

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our expanding team in Cancer Medicine. The physician will be part of our Oncohospitalist program, providing exceptional inpatient care.

The center recently opened a 330,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility dedicated solely to oncology, with locations across Jacksonville (Downtown, South, and Clay). Baptist MD Anderson offers a unique blend of focused patient care within an academic-oriented model, and is part of the MD Anderson Cancer Network.

Responsibilities

• 7 on / 7 off shift schedule.
• Inpatient clinic duties.
• Collaborate with two other inpatient oncohospitalists.
• Manage 5-10 new patients daily.
• Handle 20 inpatient follow-ups.
• Possibility of adjunct academic appointment at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston.
• Leadership opportunities in cancer program development, research, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology.
• Experience in clinical research and educational activities preferred.
• Commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care.
• Ability to establish and maintain an active clinical practice.
