The US Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking 2 Hematology / Oncology Physicians.

Role Overview:

Medical Oncologists focus on the study and treatment of cancer, working in inpatient and outpatient settings. They interpret test results, diagnose, and treat malignancies, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and manage patient care.

Hematology involves clinical and laboratory activities such as preparing and interpreting blood and bone marrow samples, analyzing blood samples, reviewing data for abnormalities, and prescribing treatments. It also includes investigating blood clotting biochemistry, assisting colleagues with test results, selecting analysis techniques, working with specialists, teaching, and maintaining detailed records.
