Job Overview

Franciscan Physician Network is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with oncology experience to join our Oncology – Hematology team at Franciscan Health Woodland Cancer Care Center in Michigan City, Indiana. This role is primarily inpatient-focused, supporting a team-oriented, family-like culture emphasizing patient care, teamwork, and empathy. We offer a supportive environment where providers can focus on delivering exceptional care.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree required
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association required
Responsibilities
  • Provide inpatient and outpatient oncology care, managing diagnoses such as breast, colon, lung, head and neck cancers, and hematologic disorders
  • Collaborate with rotating oncologists on assessments and treatment plans
  • Develop inpatient oncology assessment skills and engage with clinical staff to deliver direct patient care
  • Oversee infusion center patients and assist as needed
Work Schedule and Environment
  • Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Inpatient volume: 10-15 patients/day; Outpatient volume: 15-17 patients/day
