Job summary

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group in Chicago invites a BC/BE Hematologist/Oncologist to join its outpatient and inpatient cancer program at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital.

The role offers a robust mix of solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, with an emphasis on compassionate, patient-centered care. The position is full-time, with a three-year guarantee, access to an experienced multidisciplinary team, and a competitive compensation package including a sign-on bonus and relocation

Qualifications

• Board-certified/eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology (dual-boarded preferred).
• Fellowship-trained from an accredited program.
• Eligible for Illinois medical license.
• Strong clinical skills, patient-centered approach, team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, etc.).
• Manage benign hematology consults and non-malignant blood disorders as needed.
• Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans, including systemic therapies (chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted agents).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (radiology, pathology, surgery, radiation oncology, palliative care) for optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in tumor board discussions and quality initiatives.
• Deliver patient-centered care with strong emphasis on communication, shared decision-making, and supportive services.

• Base salary $450,000–$550,000+ (three-year guarantee)

Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $450,000 -$550,000 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
