LocumTenens.com is seeking an MD with board certification to cover an on-site outpatient hematology/oncology clinic in Worcester, MA. The assignment runs February 2027–ongoing, with day shifts (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) and no call or weekend obligations.

You will work with a 7-physician, 7-APP team in a hospital-based cancer center, using EPIC EMR to manage general hematology and oncology care for adults. Prescriptive authority is required.

Qualifications

• MD degree and board certification required.
• Active medical license in the U.S. preferred.
• Experience in outpatient hematology/oncology care desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site outpatient hematology/oncology coverage, Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00.
• Manage new consults and follow-ups for adult patients.
• Document care in EPIC EMR and coordinate with clinical team.

About the Clinician's Workday

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage within an ambulatory clinic setting on a full-time day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call or weekend obligations required. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of general hematologic and oncologic conditions for an adult patient population, with 0-3 new consults anticipated per day; new consult appointments are allotted 1 hour and follow-up visits are allotted 30 minutes. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system for all patient encounters and treatment planning activities.
