Job summary

Cetechs in Providence, RI seeks Hematologist/Oncologist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs in Providence VAMC. The physician will provide consultation services and follow up of medical subspecialty patients in inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring high-quality care within the VA system.

Travel to Batavia VAMC and Olean CBOC may be required, with limited visits per year; on-call duties and cooperative practice with hospitalists and other team members are expected.

Qualifications

• Board certified in General Oncology.
• MD degree from an approved medical school.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license to practice in the US.
• English proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation services and follow up of oncology patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Supervise and collaborate with mid-level providers as required.
• Participate in discharge planning and interdisciplinary care handoffs.
• Ensure quality of care within VA privileges and professional standards.
