Responsibilities

• Consultation, assessment, and treatment for inpatient and outpatient Veterans.
• Order and interpret labs, coordinate referrals, and promote preventive care.
• Engage in patient follow-up, education, and clinical research awareness.
• Acting section chief duties and supervising providers, students, and residents.
• Participate in committees, ensure privacy compliance, and manage staff leave/scheduling.

Job description

Hematologist/Oncologist Role

Seeking a full-time Hematologist/Oncologist dedicated to providing exceptional care to Veterans within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities include consultation, assessment, and treatment for inpatient and outpatient veterans, managing acute and chronic conditions, ordering and interpreting labs, coordinating referrals, and promoting preventive care.

Engage in patient follow-up, education, and stay informed about clinical research and trials.

Administrative duties involve serving as acting section chief, supervising providers, students, and residents, participating in committees, ensuring privacy compliance, and fostering professional development.

May manage staff leave, hiring, and work schedules as needed.

The role offers a four-day work week within Monday-Friday.

Preferred candidates are ABIM board-certified or eligible in Hematology and Oncology.

Qualifications Include

• U.S. Citizenship (or qualified non-citizens)
