Job summary

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a Hematologist-Oncologist to join the Cancer Medicine Division. This physician will expand the delivery of cutting-edge therapies for hematologic malignancies and support our Cellular Therapy Program.

The physician will join a team of four hematologists, and 2 inpatient based onco-hospitalists at our state-of-the-art center. Academic affiliation with MD Anderson and leadership opportunities within the malignant hematology program

Qualifications

Board-certified or Board Eligible in Hematology or Medical Oncology.
Experience in cellular therapy / CAR-T or Stem Cell Transplant preferred.
Clinical research experience preferred.
Commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care.
Aligned with the clinical, research and scholarly mission of our program.

Responsibilities

Provide hematology/oncology care for patients with malignant hematology.
Collaborate with the Cellular Therapy Program and multidisciplinary teams.
Support clinical research and academic initiatives within the Cancer Medicine Division.

Job description

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida is actively seeking a Hematologist -Oncologist to join our Cancer Medicine Division. This physician will expand the delivery of cutting-edge therapies for patients with hematological malignancies and support our Cellular Therapy Program. The physician will join our team of four hematologists, and 2 inpatient based onco-hospitalists. Our state-of-the-art cellular therapy and stem cell transplant unit opened in August of 2026 on the downtown campus of Baptist Medical Center, Jacksonville.

Your Expertise and Background

Board-certified, or Board Eligible in Hematology or Medical Oncology
Additional experience in cellular therapy / CAR-T or Stem Cell Transplant is desired.
Clinical research experience is desired.
Commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care.
Aligned with the clinical, research and scholarly mission of our program.

Career Opportunity

You will be eligible for adjunct academic appointment at the University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Qualified candidates may be considered for leadership opportunities within the malignant hematology program and Division of Cancer Medicine (including roles in programmatic development, research and quality).
