Position Overview

*WVU Medicine - United Hospital Center* in Bridgeport, WV seeks board certified/eligible hematologist/oncologists (multiple openings) to join a well-established hospital practice.

*The Cecil B. Highland, Jr. & Barbara B. Highland Cancer Center *at UHC is recognized by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer as a Community Comprehensive Cancer Program. The center provides the entire continuum of cancer related services from prevention/early detection screening and education to surgery, medical and radiation oncology, inpatient and outpatient therapies, home care and hospice services. UHC's cancer navigator program is the largest in North Central West Virginia, providing comprehensive and compassionate guidance to patients and their families throughout their cancer care and survivorship.

Duties

• Successful candidates will diagnose and treat patients with solid tumor cancers and blood-related cancers and disorders in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license.
• Applicants must have completed an accredited residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hematology/Oncology.
• Applicants must be board certified or eligible in both Oncology and Hematology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment.
