Job summary

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, seeks helpers for our High Point, NC manufacturing shop on first shift. You may assist welders, pipefitters, electricians, and others, handle materials, use power tools, and follow safety rules.

Training in High Point, NC with potential relocation to Asheboro, NC; benefits include weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k) with match, life insurance, and disability coverage.

Qualifications

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Previous manufacturing or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders, pipefitters, electricians and other trades as directed.
• Handle materials and use power tools safely.
• Read blueprints/read tape measures when required.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment and follow safety rules.

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking Helpers to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift. This role encompasses a wide variety of skills depending on the department where you are placed. For example, you may assist other employees with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work. EAS offers employees opportunities to learn valuable skilled trades and to grow their career paths.

TRAINING IN HIGH POINT, NC

_ We are currently looking for helpers interested in learning to weld to join our talented crew. This is a unique opportunity to start your journey at our High Point, NC shop with the opportunity of relocating to our brand-new facility in Asheboro, NC! _

Schedule: 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: 250 Swathmore Ave, High Point, NC 27263

Responsibilities:

• Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.)

• Handle material

• Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)

• Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies

• Work in a fast-paced team environment

Education Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

• Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required

• Ability to read a tape measure required
• Ability to read blueprints preferred
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
• Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
