Job summary

Texas Pipe & Supply in Houston, TX seeks a hands-on Pipe Handler to move pipe following verbal and hand signal instructions, verify heat numbers and quantities, and secure loads for transit.

The role requires installing strapping and padding, painting or coating pipes, and strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Candidates should be prepared to cross-train and maintain clean work areas as directed by supervision.

Responsibilities

• Ability to follow both verbal and hand signal instructions to identify pipe to be moved
• Verifies heat numbers, quantity, and complete chocking of pipe
• Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
• Painting, stenciling, sandblasting, coating pipes
• Observe all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times
• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed
• Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area
• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager
