Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a thorough Helper C Local 1 to join Harrison Courts Apartments in Chicago, IL. You will perform cleaning in homes and common areas while adhering to the property schedule.

The role pays $22.82 per hour with a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Union training is required on joining, with union-provided benefits.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to understand spoken and written English.
• Ability to respond to requests in a timely and respectful manner.
• Ability to carry and maintain all cleaning supplies necessary for routine functions.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean entire building including bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators and carpets.
• Empty trash cans and sweep sidewalks.
• Set up hoses, rake lawns and flower beds, plant flowers, and install mulch.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, driveways as needed.
• Clean vacant units and perform other cleaning tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

About the Opportunity

WinnCompanies is looking for a thorough and dedicated Helper C Local 1 to join our team at Harrison Courts Apartments, a 122-unit senior housing and RADpropertylocated in Chicago, IL.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing cleaning functions in homes and common areas.

The pay rate for this position is $22.82 per hour. The selected candidate will typically work: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Additionally, the selected candidate will need to complete Local 1 Union training upon joining the team: this is a union position and will be eligible for benefits provided by the union.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the following, but not limited to: cleaning entire building including, bathrooms, community room, windows, walls, floors, stairwells, laundry rooms, elevators, and carpets; emptying trash cans; sweeping sidewalks; setting up hoses, raking lawns and flower beds, planting flowers, and installing mulch.
• Perform each cleaning function in accordance with the property’s prescribed daily schedule.
• Remove snow and ice from walkways, parking lots, driveways as needed.
• Clean vacant units.
• Perform other cleaning functions as assigned by Supervisor.
